It’s been a bit of a slow news day in Tottenham Hotspur-land. There haven’t been many with not a lot to report as the team flies back from their mid-season training camp in Barcelona. Thankfully, we do have the club’s social media channels to keep us all entertained.
One of the better things that Spurs TV does is post videos of foreign members of the club pulling pranks on their unsuspecting English counterparts. And since the club was in Barcelona, who better to pull that sort of prank than the team’s resident Spaniard, Fernando Llorente? Here’s a cheeky Nando giving Ben Davies, Kieran Trippier, and Kyle Walker-Peters some “Spanish lessons.”
I love this stuff. First, because the three UK lads are apparently taking it seriously and trying to learn something while in Spain. But also because when Fernando starts pulling out incorrect phrases, he just can’t hold it together, and it takes the other three a hilarious amount of time to figure it out. I’m a sucker for this stuff.
Mauricio Pochettino said that he loves these midseason trips because it allows the team to bond as a group, especially with the newer members of the club Llorente. IDK, it sure looks like the team has fully accepted Fernando already.
Spurs are back in action this weekend with a trip to Southampton on Sunday. Kick-off is 4 pm BST, 11 am ET.
