The downside of Spurs’ 1-1 draw at Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round, apart from the fact that they played like garbage against a League 2 side, is that the replay adds another match in what is shaping up to be a very important stretch of Spurs’ schedule. Now, the replay date has been set. Tottenham will host Newport on Wednesday, February 7 at Wembley Stadium. The match kicks off at 7:45 p.m.

That puts this match in between Tottenham’s trip to Anfield to play Liverpool on Sunday, February 4 and the second North London Derby at Wembley on Saturday, February 10. It also means, with the Champions League home-and-home series coming up against Juventus, that Spurs will play a mid-week match for four out of the next five weeks.
While Spurs laid an egg at Rodney Parade, you have to think they’ll be considered firm favorites in the replay at Wembley Stadium and will be able to rotate some. However, this is clearly a competition that Pochettino is taking seriously, so it’s likely there will be no rest for at least a few of the weary on the 7th.
The draw for the FA Cup fifth round will be held this evening in the UK, beginning approximately 7:20 p.m. GMT (2:20 p.m. ET).
