There are lots of different sources when it comes to transfer rumors, but there’s one thing you can almost always rely on: if you hear a transfer report in the Beeb, it’s probably true. BBC is reporting that the move is pending a medical and agreement of personal terms (which we thought was already done, but whatever). Considering that Lucas is reportedly on £75k/week at PSG right now, his wages shouldn’t be an issue for Tottenham.
The Beeb doesn’t mention the work permit, but I’m given to understand that it’s probably not a major issue and can be worked out before the end of the window.
If he signs, the obvious place to see a Lucas Moura debut in lilywhite would be the FA Cup replay against Newport at Wembley Stadium on February 7, unless Mauricio Pochettino wants to throw him into the fire at Anfield, which seems pretty unlikely.
We’re nearly there, y’all. Hold on!
