With injuries mounting, Tottenham Hotspur could see two of their biggest stars return against Barcelona on Wednesday as the club looks to rebound from a bitterly disappointing beginning to their Champions League campaign.

According to Matt Law of The Telegraph, both Hugo Lloris and Christian Eriksen could return from their respective absences and play a part in the all-important match at Wembley.

Lloris appeared in Spurs’ first three league wins of the season before being sidelined with a thigh injury. He returned to training last week and could be line to replace third-string goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

Mauricio Pochettino could also have Eriksen available for selection after the playmaker missed Saturday’s 2-0 win away to Huddersfield Town with a stomach injury.

The return of two starters could be coming at the perfect time with Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, and Michel Vorm all in doubt and Serge Aurier out for the match against the Catalonia giants.
