Our thoughts are with his family at this impossibly sad time.https://t.co/IQpHB1G25E
In his position at Spurs Waite had the important role of connecting Spurs fans in north London and elsewhere to the club. Testimonials printed in the Mirror stated how beloved and popular he was with Spurs fans. He was honored as Supporter Liaison Officer of the Year in January 2017 for his outstanding work.
A short statement on Tottenham’s website paid tribute to Waite and the important role he played linking local Spurs supporters to the club.
Jonathan was a hugely popular figure both amongst us, his colleagues, and also the wider fan base. He was named Supporter Liaison Officer of the year at the 2016 FSF Awards, testament to how highly valued he was by fans and supporter organisations for the care and attention he devoted to this role.
He was a much valued member of our Spurs family. He will be sorely missed.
Waite leaves behind a wife and two children. My condolences go out to his family and those grieving his loss.
