Moussa Sissoko nominated for November Premier League Player of the Month

And the weirdest thing is, he deserves it!

The timing seems a bit weird considering he’s coming off of one of his worst performances of the season, but Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko just added another feather to his cap today. Sissoko was one of seven players nominated for EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month in November.

It still seems SUPER WEIRD to include the words “Player of the Month” and “Moussa Sissoko” in the same sentence, but fair play to him. You can’t even say that Sissoko hasn’t deserved it (especially since the North London Derby happened in December, not November). While he only has one assist to his name this season, he’s been very involved in Tottenham’s attack, playing 90 minutes in all three of Spurs’ league matches this season and in the 1-0 Champions League win over Inter Milan. In fact, Spurs went a perfect 5-0 in all competitions in November, and Sissoko is a big reason why.

Sissoko’s competitor for the award include Manchester City trio Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, and David Silva; Liverpool defender Andy Robertson; and West Ham attacker Felipe Anderson.

I have no idea whether Sissoko has a chance to win or not, but you can vote for him online at the EA Sports website.
