After a horrendous start that saw them go 2-0 down to Juventus just 10 minutes in, Tottenham Hotspur have grabbed two away goals to bring the first leg of their Round of 16 tie level.
Harry Kane got Spurs back into the match in the first half after beating the offside trap, rounding Gianluigi Buffon and slotting into the empty net. With a little more than 15 minutes remaining, Christian Eriksen has scored an even more crucial goal to make it 2-2.
The midfielder’s free kick was deceptive and smart as he struck it low and to the left of the wall, fooling Buffon enough to have the shot squeak under the legendary keeper’s hand and into the net.
More important than the overall tie being level, it’s two massive away goals for Spurs as the look to head back home in great position after showing resiliency to overcome a dreadful start to the match.
