In the wake of Tottenham Hotspur’s thrilling 5-4 win over Leicester City in the final match of the season, Spurs players Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen took to video to thank supporters for watching and cheering for them this season.
Dele, in typical Dele style, met up with Fortnite buddies Eric Dier and Kyle Walker-Peters (or as he called them, “these two clowns”) to talk about a “difficult” year but with hopes for an improved standing next season.

Christian, meanwhile, closed off his message to fans with the phrase “See you next season,” which totally did NOT make me squee and whisper He’s not being sold to Barcelona to myself, nope not me.

Though Spurs sure made it look difficult and scary for a little while there, they ended the season on a high note with two wins in their last two games to leapfrog over Liverpool and finish in third place in the table. Fans might have been grumbling after dispiriting losses to Juventus, Manchester United, and West Brom, but this was a nice way to go out and certainly puts into perspective just what a great year this Tottenham team actually had.
