Happy Saturday, football fans! Today is an important day on the calendar, when two groups come together for a spectacle awash in pageantry, watched by millions, centered on famous people, the importance of which is debated but which many, many people will pay attention to regardless.
But enough about the royal wedding. The FA Cup final is also on today! Chelsea and Manchester United will play today at Tottenham Hotspur’s home ground* for the right to lift a big cup of silver.
I know what you’re thinking, for Spurs fans this is a “meteor match.” But it’s still football — something to tide us over until the Champions League final next week and the start of the World Cup in June.
Here’s your open thread if you so wish to talk about it. You can also put your Harry and Meghan wedding hot takes in here as well. I watched it too, I won’t judge.
* — Yes, it’s Wembley.
