DiMarzio: Juventus considering move for Tottenham’s Dembele

Moose wants a move to Italy, and the Italian champions might be interested.

Mousa Dembele wants to move to Italy, and the Italian champions just might be interested. According to Gianluca DiMarzio, one of the few (mostly) reputable Italian football jouranlists, Juventus are willing to meet with Tottenham Hotspur to begin negotiations for Dembele’s transfer to Turin. The Italian giants have apparently also reached out to Dembele’s representatives.

To be fair, this is less a transfer rumor and more the PROMISE of a transfer rumor. It sounds as though Juventus is in the “feeling out” stage of things, and are sending out feelers to both Dembele’s agent and to the club to get a sense of how much it might cost to pry him away from Daniel Levy. With Moose now almost literally on the plane to Russia, this is a nebulous rumor. A proto-rumor, if you will.

It’s still kinda neat. Being an unabashed Dembele fanboy, Juventus would be a very, very nice landing spot for Moose. I could see him doing some very fun things for the Old Lady at the twilight of his career. And, if this is a move that actually happens, it would virtually guarantee that Spurs would have some sort of a rematch with a Juvent-moose midfield at some point in the Champions League next season. Womp-womp.
