There was a good feeling around the England camp heading into this World Cup. Expectations didn’t seem to be unrealistic or overbearing, and the young team seemed confident and cool ahead of the tournament’s start.
Now the team have followed that up with a great beginning to their opening match against Tunisia. To the surprise of no one, Harry Kane was the man who started the scoring.
What a start for the Three Lions!

How is that for a classic Harry Kane finish? Part of the reason Kane is a world class striker is because has a nose for a ball in the box. He knows how to be in the right place at the right time. The result here was an easy finish for England’s captain.
Spurs fans can now feel even more proud for Kane, who has achieved his dream to score at a World Cup. It seems like a safe bet that this won’t be his last goal in Russia.
Kane has started the match well, and so have Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier, who also started for the Three Lions.
