Well, for Tottenham Hotspur fans this is the World Cup holy grail: it’s a group stage clash that could potentially feature up to eight Spurs players, assuming all of them play. The reality of this match is that both England and Belgium have already qualified, both will be looking ahead to the knock-out rounds, and both will rotate heavily.

Romelu Lukaku is confirmed out today for Belgium, and we haven’t heard about Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, or Toby Alderweireld. Harry Kane is very likely to start for England as he tries to extend his Golden Boot lead, as is Dele Alli, Eric Dier, and Danny Rose.

This is also your open thread for the early matches, which includes Davinson Sanchez and Colombia. Come on you World Cup Hotspurs — don’t get injured, please!

Any Spurs players involved?

Hoo buddy, you bet your ass there are! For England: Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier. For Belgium: Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele. For Colombia: Davinson Sanchez.

How about former Spurs?

Nacer Chadli (Belgium)

Any transfer targets or rival players I’m probably interested in?

Wilmar Barrios was pretty good for Colombia a couple of days ago. We’ll see how he does today.

What cool things has SB Nation posted recently?

I’m glad you asked!
