While Christian Eriksen has been the daddy of many a Premier League midfielder, he finally has a son by birth after his partner Sabrina Kvist Jensen delivered their baby boy Monday.
Eriksen had been given permission to leave the Danish squad to be with Jensen back in Denmark, and he missed the team’s warm up friendly this past weekend against Sweden.
“Christian became a father on Monday, the mother and boy are doing well. Christian has just arrived at the hotel and is training from today,” media officer Jacob Wadland told reporters.
Now that Eriksen is secure knowing that the baby and mother are happy and healthy, he can play in the World Cup this summer with “new baby swag” and help Denmark qualify from its group. That campaign starts next Saturday, June 16 as Denmark plays its first game of the tournament against Peru.
Congratulations to Eriksen and Jensen!
