World Cup Quarterfinals: how to watch Sweden-England & Russia-Croatia

The football is coming... but where?

Two more quarterfinal matches today, and it’s another HUGE one if you’re a Tottenham Hotspur supporter. With a win today over Sweden, England and its five Spurs stars can head to the World Cup semifinals and will have a puncher’s chance of getting to the final game, where they would face the winner of Belgium and France.

And you know what’s cool about that? We are guaranteed to have a Tottenham Hotspur player who will play to lift the Jules Rimet trophy (I know it’s called the FIFA World Cup Trophy, I don’t care). Either Spurs’ Belgian Bros or Hugo Lloris will have that honor, and they might be joined by their English teammates.

But first they have to get past a Sweden team that is defensively stingy. They might not always WIN, but they very rarely LOSE. This one could be nervy. Expect the Swedes to play stout, organized defense, try and break when possible, and score.

The other game features Luka Modric and Croatia as they try and make the semifinal for the first time since 1998, but they’ll have to get through hosts Russia and their home-pitch advantage.

The football isn’t home yet, but it’s probably standing in line at RyanAir customs wondering what the hell is going on. Enjoy the games!
