Tottenham Hotspur’s brand new stadium won’t see its first real action until the Liverpool match in September, but it’s so far along now that it’s becoming more possible to imagine what it will look like when the team takes to the field.
EA Sports gave us our first virtual look at the new stadium today when they announced that “Tottenham Hotspur Stadium” will be featured in FIFA 19.
Check out their short reveal video and hear Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris talk about their excitement to play in the new ground.
The music in that clip is terrible, but the virtual stadium looks quite nice! It will be incredible to see it filled, for the first time in real life, on September 15th.
Spurs also announced that have reached a deal with EA Sports to become the club’s “Official Video Game Partner”. And to think some people said Tottenham hadn’t made any signings this summer!
This agreement means that Mauricio Pochettino’s squad will be available for selection in the FIFA 19 Demo. That demo is scheduled for release in a few weeks, and the full game will come out on September 28th.
FIFA isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but it’s still cool to see the club and the new stadium featured prominently in the game. That being said, if Harry Kane isn’t the highest ranked striker in this year’s game then we should probably riot.
