Hey there, Hoddlers! It’s Tuesday, which means only six more days until Tottenham Hotspur play another match.

Today’s Song of the Day is actually more like a Concert of the Day, but it’s totally worth it. This is another band that I discovered thanks to my colleagues in the Cartilage Free Captain Slack channel. Khruangbin is a trio of Texas-based musicians that bonded over their love of Thai funk and Middle Eastern/Latin American rhythms. The result is this trippy, chill blend of improvisational, genre-bending instrumental music that is as far as I’m concerned perfect cocktail party music.

“Khruangbin” is the Thai word for “airplane” and they certainly have a continental vibe. This video is a full concert from Pitchfork, featuring projected visuals from Drippy Eye Projections. Turn it on, leave it on, and enjoy. (But if you want just one song, fast forward to 19’27” for my favorite — “August 12”
