The transfer window is kicking into high gear, and one of the top stories involves Tottenham Hotspur’s Belgian center back Toby Alderweireld. Toby has been tipped for the exit from Spurs for months now after refusing to sign a contract extension, and the club has been in fierce negotiations with Manchester United over a possible move there.
However, according to Simon Stone in the BBC’s transfer ticker, United have yet to make any formal bid.
Although there has been increased speculation about a deal involving Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld in recent days, there has been no offer from United and Leicester are determined to keep England international Harry Maguire, who has four years left on his contract.
There is time for the situation to change, although, with United adamant they will not be held to ransom over any deal, at such a late stage of the transfer window, it is hard to see whether the costs of signing someone like Mina would be worthwhile.

That doesn’t mean that there won’t be one coming in in the next 29 hours, just that one hasn’t come in yet. It does cast doubt on the Mirror’s “£40m take it or leave it” offer from a couple of days ago.
More to come on this story, I’m sure.
