Earlier today the club posted a video of the Spurs players boarding a plane to Italy ahead of tomorrow’s match with Inter Milan. We speculated about those missing from the video and what it meant for their availability, and now that speculation is confirmed.
The club have said that Dele Alli, Hugo Lloris, and Moussa Sissoko will all miss tomorrow’s Champions League group stage opener.

We have been told that both Lloris and Sissoko will be out for a couple weeks, but we really haven’t heard anything about the severity of Dele’s hamstring injury. He picked up the problem during the last international break and was ultimately allowed to return to Spurs early by England manager Gareth Southgate.
Sissoko might not have been much help, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side clearly missed Dele and Hugo over the weekend. The 2-1 loss to Liverpool featured a costly mistake from back-up keeper Michel Vorm, and Dele’s offensive talents were notably absent as Spurs struggled to take their chances.
It’s still unclear if Dele will be available for Saturday’s game with Brighton, but it’s probably safe to assume that Lloris will not be.
Inter Milan enter the game without any major absences. Lautaro Martinez is set to miss the match with calf problems, and Sime Vrsaljko might not be available as he is recovering from a knee injury.
Inter are healthy, but Spurs will be without two of their most important players for such a big game. It’s crucial that Tottenham start their Champions League campaign on the right note while also bouncing back from the disappointment that was this past weekend.
