Hey remember that halcyon time a few hours ago when we all suddenly got excited because it appeared there might be a chance that PSG’s Adrien Rabiot might actually be convinced to sign with Tottenham Hotspur before the close of this month’s transfer window?
I liked that time. Those were better hours.
Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Barcelona & Chelsea remain in contention to sign Adrien Rabiot for free this summer. (L’Éq)

If we’re honest with ourselves, the prospect of Rabiot actually coming to Tottenham was never very high. After all, I think I’ve written a “Rabiot rejects Tottenham advances” article at least twice this winter already. But this one feels more like a punch in the gut because Rabiot’s options sure appear to be limiting themselves, and Spurs really, really, REALLY need someone like him.
And now, IDK, he’s probably not coming for real for sure now but is still prominently linked with both Chelsea and Liverpool and if he ends up signing for either of those clubs I am going to go outside and scream at a cloud like the crazy old man that I am.
The football transfer window is an insane, wonderful thing and I love it, but I gotta say as a Spurs supporter it sure hasn’t been much fun for the past year.
