You are walking through the wilds of batcountry. A wild loan appears! It’s super effective! Tottenham Hotspur hasn’t loaned out the player that everyone expected to go — that’s Vincent Janssen — but they did manage a late loan for one of their promising youth players. Anthony Georgiou is heading out on loan for the first ever time, and it’s a good loan — to Levante AD until the end of the season.
@_Ant_Georgiou has joined @LevanteUD on loan for the remainder of the season.

Good luck, Anthony! pic.twitter.com/HKNs4uZw2u
This may seem underwhelming on a deadline day that’s been mostly boring, but it’s actually a really good loan for Georgiou. Levante are 12th in La Liga and have wins over both Real Madrid and Barcelona this season, so this is a pretty good place for him to land.
I don’t know if Anthony has a long-term future at Spurs, but he has been a mainstay for the U23s this season and has made his full debut already — last season in a short cameo against APOEL in the Champions League. That’s significant, as Georgiou is ethnically Cypriot and even has a cap for Cyprus internationally.
So yay for Anthony! I hope he gets minutes and can use it to propel his career even further. This is a great loan.
Update: Well, it’s not to Levante’s first team, it’s to their second, which is still pretty decent, I guess.
Second Team. Same group in spanish third division that Sam Shashoua.
