Tottenham Hotspur is in a very interesting situation heading into Sunday’s match against Liverpool — the team is (almost) completely healthy! Team news was released ahead of the trip to Anfield, and the good news is that there’s only one player out, and that’s the long term elbow injury to goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris.

That’s good! That’s real good! I don’t think we’ve had fewer than one injury in the squad all season, and possibly not since the start of 2019.
However, that doesn’t mean that all of the non-injured players are going to be available for selection. It’s already reported that Ryan Sessegnon is likely to spend some time playing for the U23s before he’s given his chance in the first team, and really, away to Liverpool would be a pretty bad choice to give Sessegnon his Tottenham debut. Likewise, Giovani Lo Celso had a good stint midweek in his first action since September, but it’d be surprising to see him anywhere except on the bench on Sunday.
Even so, this gives Mauricio Pochettino options, and options are good. Hopefully he chooses the correct ones to help give Spurs a result in one of the toughest matches they’ll play all season.
