Hi, everyone!

I hope Spurs have a good Halloween video prepared for us all today.

Ramble of the Day

I’ll ask a Halloween question: What is the greatest costume you’ve ever worn?

The first costume that popped into my head was when I dressed up as Joe Jonas in eighth grade. I believe I don’t have photographic evidence that I sported a costume, but I was essentially trying to recreate this look (Joe’s the one in the center):

I obviously couldn’t be all of the Jonas Brothers, and I suppose I didn’t feel like asking anyone else to join me in what was obviously supposed to be a group costume, but I was shy as a youngster. I had a plain white shirt, a vest, and a haircut that was close enough (had bangs, but my hair was longer). I swapped out the tie for a scarf, an accessory the Jonas Brothers did sport from time to time.

I can’t remember if it was a well received or not, but it was probably the first time I got really creative with Halloween costumes. The routine in elementary school was to pick up something at Party City, and I created a costume out of pieces I owned. It’s become part of my Halloween routines as an adult — I try not to buy too many things for Halloween costumes, instead opting for things I have. I have a lot of fun in the process, which has made Halloween perhaps more enjoyable for me as an adult than as a child (and I did like Halloween as a kid).

tl;dr: What was your best Halloween costume?
