2019 is careening to a close and with it come the end of the year awards. Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-Min has already been the recipient of a couple of those honors and now he gets to add another one to his collection. The Korea Football Association has named Sonny as their 2019 Player of the Year!

Literally no one should be surprised by this — Sonny is not only the best men’s player in Korea, he’s the best men’s player in Asia and one of the best in the world. It’s the fourth time he’s won the award — he took home the prize in 2013, 2014, and 2017 as well. No Korean footballer has won the award more than him, not even Ki Sung-yeung, though the award has only been offered since 2010.
Congratulations to Sonny!
