The transfer window may be closed in England, but it isn’t everywhere, and the loan window is still open. Tottenham Hotspur have taken advantage of this, using the opportunity to send another one of their young players out on loan. The club announced today that 21-year old striker Shayon Harrison is heading to Australia on loan with Melbourne City.
@ShayonHarrison has joined @MelbourneCity on loan until the end of the Australia A-League season in May.

Good luck, Shay! pic.twitter.com/zVcK0SrIMM
This is Shayon’s third loan of his career — he previously went out to Yeovil in 2017 and Southend last January. He has five goals and an assist in 8 matches with the U23s this season.
We previously ranked Shayon #7 on our summer 2017 list of Tottenham Hotspur prospect ratings, but as he’s 21 now, it’s probably time for him to start making an impact with first team football somewhere. The A-League isn’t the most challenging out there, but Melbourne City are currently fourth in the table and are having a pretty good season.
It’s a little hard to imagine that Shayon is going to have much of a future with Spurs’ first team at this point, but stranger things have happened. Hopefully this is a loan that will allow him to get some valuable first team minutes.
