It took 55 minutes, but it finally came. The first-ever goalscorer at the brand new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is Son Heung-Min. The South Korean will be forever etched in the club’s history books after giving his side a 1-0 lead over Crystal Palace 10 minutes into the second half.

Son did what he does best and ran at the opposition’s back line, putting them on their heels. He cut onto his left foot and struck a shot on goal that nicked off a defender and squibbled past the goalkeeper for the historic moment.
Spurs are home. Sonny is home.
