We have now watched every team play one game in the Women’s World Cup, so it’s time to circle around back to Group A for the second round of the group stages. There are three games today.
And, unless something goes catastrophically wrong, it’s shaping up like France and the USA will face each other in the quarterfinals this year. That seems wrong — France and USA are two of the best teams in the field. That’s a finals match-up and it looks like it could come two rounds too early.
