DiMarzio: Ndombele to Tottenham all but done

I am currently sitting on a deck literally on the side of a mountain in western Carolina, listening to songbirds and the wind rustling through the trees. There’s a beer just to my left. I promised myself I wouldn’t blog during my vacation — how often do I get a vacation from the blog, anyway? My wife would probably yell at me if she found out I was doing this.

But I just can’t help myself because GIANLUCA DIMARZIO IS REPORTING THAT TANGUY NDOMBELE TO TOTTENAM HOTSPUR IS PRETTY MUCH ALL BUT DONE AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

The report is written by “Editorial Staff” which usually means that Gianluca himself has a role in the sourcing, if not the reporting. And that’s good, because DiMarzio is a pretty solid source when it comes to these kinds of things.

The report states that the broad strokes of the deal are more or less complete and will cost Spurs €62m plus bonuses. There are a few details to iron out yet, but the player is apparently just waiting for approval to head to London for a medical.

This is, without equivocation, good news. I am more and more of the opinion that Ndombele will be photographed holding a Tottenham shirt before the week’s out. Also if this prediction doesn’t actually happen, I never said it.

Going back to my trees and my deck and my delicious beer now. Not moving won’t be an issue.
