Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer window just took a huge jump forward.

The north London club, after weeks of rumors involving negotiations with Olympic Lyonnais, have officially announced midfielder Tanguy Ndombele as the newest member of Spurs.

The deal will shatter the former club record transfer from two summers ago when Daniel Levy ponied up £42m for Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez. Reportedly, the deal will be worth £55.5m (€62m) with escalators of another €10m, making the total deal worth £64.4m (€72m). It should be money well spent on the 22-year-old French international.

There haven’t been any reports on the rumored wages, but Ndombele’s deal is for five years and a club option for a sixth. That’s the Bald Ninja Jedi we all know and love.

Spurs will be getting a player who played almost 4,000 minutes last year for Lyon and was one of the first names on the team sheet for the Ligue 1 club.

We’ve written way too much about this transfer and we’re tapped out. No more talk! Let’s party and welcome Tanguy Ndombele to Tottenham Hotspur!
