As mentioned earlier, Tottenham Hotspur are heading to Germany to participate in the Audi Cup in Munich for the first time since 2015. They will play Real Madrid tomorrow before facing either Bayern Munich or Fenerbahce on Wednesday.

And now we know who the club is taking on that tour. Here’s the list of players heading to Germany, as announced by Tottenham on their website.

  • Toby Alderweireld
  • Dele Alli
  • Christian Eriksen
  • Juan Foyth
  • Paulo Gazzaniga
  • Anthony Georgiou
  • Harry Kane
  • Erik Lamela
  • Hugo Lloris
  • George Marsh
  • Lucas Moura
  • Tanguy Ndombele
  • Georges-Kevin Nkoudou
  • Troy Parrott
  • Jack Roles
  • Danny Rose
  • Davinson Sanchez
  • Moussa Sissoko
  • Oliver Skipp
  • Heung-Min Son
  • Japhet Tanganga
  • Jan Vertonghen
  • Kyle Walker-Peters
  • Harvey White
  • Harry Winks
  • Alfie Whiteman

So this is a very similar squad to the one that Spurs took along to its tour of Singapore and China. One notable difference is the inclusion of Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, who is on the plane to Germany presumably because he was not able to find anyone interested in purchasing him while the rest of the squad were in Asia. Danny Rose is also in the squad, which probably bodes well for him staying on as a member of Tottenham Hotspur this season.

However, there are a few people staying home. The club noted that Eric Dier and Ben Davies are both recovering from the same medical procedures that kept them out of the Asian tour. Serge Aurier also apparently had hand surgery after he picked up an injury at AFCON and will miss this trip. Victor Wanyama has thus far unsuccessfully avoided not being dead, as he’s nursing a knee injury.

This is a weird trip because it’s two matches in two days, so I’d guess there’s going to be a pretty wild difference in the squads for Madrid and the one that will play Wednesday. It’ll be a good opportunity to get another look at some of the players on the fringes of the squad, no doubt.
