Since his signing in the last hours of last Thursday’s transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur fans have been itching to see what new midfielder Giovani Lo Celso can do. Gio was, understandably, not included in the match day 18 for Spurs’ season-opening 3-1 win over Aston Villa, as he hadn’t even made it to a single training yet, and it’s probably worth stating that it could be a little while before we see him take the field.
But now we can see him in action, at least a little bit. Tottenham tweeted out a video today of Gio’s first training that shows him with the ball at his feet and participating in drills with his new teammates, and it’s required viewing for Spurs fans who like this kind of stuff.

So it’s just a training video, but you can certainly get glimpses of Lo Celso’s skill set and what he can bring to the table for Tottenham. He’s naturally quick, and has a nice touch with the ball at his feet. Early days yet, but it’s kinda nice to see him in action.
It’ll be interesting to see what Mauricio Pochettino does with Gio with a massive trip to the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City coming up this Saturday. With a few training sessions under his belt, might it be possible to see Gio make the bench against the defending Premier League Champions?
