Tottenham Hotspur Women don’t start their debut Women’s Super League campaign until August 25, but they’re doing their best to get ready for a trip to Chelsea in the first week — a real London derby trial-by-fire. To that end, the Women have travelled to Spain to participate in the Ramon de Carranza Trophy, hosted by Cadiz C.F.
Spurs progressed to the final of the preseason tournament after defeating Real Betis Feminino 2-1 yesterday afternoon. The Women got a goal from new signing Lucy Quinn and Kit Graham, a trialist making her first match appearance for Spurs. That’s certainly one way to make an impression on your prospective club!
That sets up the final against Athletic Club Bilbao in Cadiz this afternoon. Kick-off time is 9:00 p.m. UK, 4:00 p.m. ET. And that’s not the only good news — the match will be streamed online for FREE, both on Cadiz’s official YouTube channel and on Twitter.
The stream isn’t live yet — they’re currently playing the third-place match between Cadiz and Betis — but we’ll embed the YouTube stream into this article so fans can watch. It’s the first opportunity for Spurs fans to be able to see the new-look Spurs Women in action.
The FA announced a couple of weeks back that all 132 of the FA Women’s Super League matches this season will be streamed online for free, along with select matches in the FA Women’s Championship. It’s a great time to jump on board the Tottenham Hotspur Women bandwagon!
