The possibility of Paulo Dybala joining Tottenham Hotspur has quickly come to an end, with a report in Italy saying the player has rejected a move.
Per La Gazetta dello Sport’s Nicolò Schiara on Twitter, Dybala will not make the move to London, and is in general uninterested in a move to the Premier League. The player is committed to staying at Juventus, though the club would like to rid themselves of his wages. Schiara also says that Dybala would consider a move to Paris Saint-Germain or Inter Milan.
The Guardian backed up claims that Juventus would not mind selling the player on Tuesday. Those wages, coupled with his tricky image rights situation, would have made the deal difficult for Tottenham, and did for Manchester United. With the links to PSG and Inter, it seems that Dybala is unwilling to take a dramatic pay cut, regardless of where he ends up.
Dybala’s links to Tottenham heated up Tuesday when Di Marzio reported that Tottenham and Juventus had agreed a fee, and that it was up to the player to decide on a move, and it seems the decision has been made.
