On the heels of Wednesday’s news that a medical would take place on Thursday morning, we now see that the deal could cost Tottenham up to £30m, in addition to sending midfielder Josh Onomah to Craven Cottage.
Whether you view Sessegnon as a winger or future starting left back, there is no denying that the 19-year-old has great potential, and let’s say there are considerably worse managers under which he could learn than Mauricio Pochettino. Sending Josh Onomah, a player that it seemed clear was not in Pochettino’s plans, the other direction would be helpful to both player and club, as it would give him a chance to play much more frequently, and it would save Spurs some money overall.
What do you think? Is this a fair price for Sessegnon, or is it too much? Either way, we’re still waiting for official confirmation, but it’s close to crossing the finish line.
