I’m awake! I’m awake! Yesterday was certainly fun, but we still have [checks watch] 6.5 hours left in the transfer window and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to complete at least two transfers today, and possibly more.

Despite tracking flights all day yesterday, we’re still not sure how Giovani Lo Celso got from Seville to Tottenham, but he did — talkSPORT are now reporting that he is at Hotspur Way, Tottenham’s training center, to undergo a medical ahead of his €60m move from Real Betis.

The move is expected to be a loan for the 2019-20 season, with an obligation to buy him outright next summer. As we discussed yesterday, the loan (with a £15m loan fee) is a way to make everyone happy, free up some extra funds in the short term for Spurs’ other transfer obligations, and royally piss off PSG, who has a 20% sell-on clause.

Assuming that Lo Celso doesn’t pull a Nabil Fekir and have his knee literally explode on the training table, we should be expecting a social media post announcing his signing within the next couple of hours.
