The deal is reportedly worth £55m + add-ons, but is a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the loan. The deal allows Spurs to defer much of the payment until next summer in order to spread out their funds. It will also put more money into the Betis coffers at the end of the deal, which makes all parties involved happy....except for PSG.
Lo Celso spent last year on loan, making 32 appearances and scoring nine goals. The Argentine International is considered one of the best Under-23 midfielders in the world and Spurs now have him. Spurs biggest hole last year is now one of its biggest strengths, and that feels so weird to say.
Get those gifs out, everyone. Party time!
