Ramble of the Day
The ramble, though, is dedicated to the other Deadline Day signing, Giovani Lo Celso. When a team is linked to a player, we all love to do our version of scouting. Highlight reels are a must, as is reading up on what others have to say. If you want, part of the process can be checking out these players’ social channels, and I bet you can figure out where this ramble is going.
After spending a year at Real Betis, the time came for him to say his goodbyes, and he decided to wrap things up with an Instagram video and a long caption. The gesture is obviously very nice, but I do have a few quick thoughts before I officially send you off to the comments.
1. Lo Celso can play guitar? Would love to hear some music from him sometime.

2. That music choice is fascinating. I’ve never really imagined having that as the tune playing to a highlight reel, but there have been weird choices in this department before! I’ve been told it might be royalty-free “corporate pop,” but it does sound like something from a montage in a children’s show, or maybe even a montage of adults laughing in an ad convincing you to visit a place. Either way, I hope Lo Celso’s tunes on the guitar are better than this.
