After a season that saw him score several important goals, Lucas Moura has been rewarded with a new contract from Tottenham Hotspur.

When Lucas joined Spurs in January of 2018 from Paris Saint-Germain, he signed a five-and-a-half year deal. That makes the new deal a one-year extension, which does not change much for Lucas, since he was signed as a long-term option. That said, it likely means that Lucas got a raise after that very memorable season, his first full season with Spurs.
Lucas will likely feature heavily for Tottenham this season as the team once again has to balance four different competitions. Considering his strong performances both last season and during preseason, he will be expected to have another successful season and so far looks poised to do so. He should once again be an important option in an attack that’s beginning to build some depth with the new signings Spurs made in the summer.
