You can play as Tottenham Hotspur in the FIFA 20 demo

And if you’re a FIFA person, you should!

Full disclosure: I’m not a FIFA person. I can never figure out which button to mash to kick the ball and whenever I play (which is rarely) I usually end up making Harry Kane look like Moussa Sissoko on a breakaway, even on Amateur difficulty. But lots of other people are FIFA people, and if you’re one of them, there’s great news! The FIFA 20 demo has been released into the wild, and amazingly, Tottenham Hotspur is one of the teams you can play with, or against! The other five available teams are Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Dortmund, and PSG.

Not only that, but you can also play in the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium, which has been lovingly recreated in high-detail pixels, as in FIFA 19, right down to the east-facing golden cockerel atop the south stand. You can download the demo, which weighs in at a whopping 7 GB, on EA’s website and the go about having a re-do of the Champions League final.

But the other part of the new FIFA that’s always of interest to Spurs fans are the player ratings. And thanks to some timely releases, we know what the Tottenham players’ ratings are for the new game, from Harry Kane all the way down to Jamie Bowden. Get ready to argue in the comments!

The players have an opinion of the ratings too — here’s a SpursTV video of Eric Dier, who has yet to play a minute of match action this season, and Davinson Sanchez’s dismayed reactions when they discovered their FIFA ratings for this year.

The full version of FIFA 20 will be released on September 24.
