For a while, it looked like at least three Tottenham Hotspur players were set to leave the club before the close of today’s European transfer window. Now, it looks like it might be just one. Writing in the Evening Standard, Dan Kilpatrick confirms the unlikeliness of Christian Eriksen’s departure from Tottenham Hotspur before the end of the day today, and also said fullback Serge Aurier was unlikely to leave after the club was unable to find any bidders.
Victor Wanyama looked set for a move as soon as last Friday after the club reportedly agreed to a £12m transfer to Club Brugge in Belgium. However, the Standard reports that talks broke down in the ensuing days and that the deal is now off. The article doesn’t specify why, but Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur says that Brugge decided to sign Colombian center back Eder Balanta instead.

In fact, the only Tottenham player who still looks likely to leave the club is Marcus Edwards, who has been linked with Serie A club Udinese, though reporting on that move has dried up in recent days.
