Random boasts

Hey, everyone!

That’s Kit Graham at the top today. The forward joined Tottenham over the summer.

Ramble of the Day

We all have random things that we like to boast about. Mauricio Pochettino, for example, likes to boast about his abilities to sense auras, and Jeremy Renner likes to pretend he can sing. (So do I, on occasion, but only to myself.) They’re not even humble brags; they’re just weird things that one, either intentionally or otherwise, announce that one is decent at. I’ll mention two very different, naturally random things I casually boasted about recently.

The first one was a few days ago, when I just happened to utter the words “I’m a very good note taker.” In retrospect, it feels like a silly thing to brag about, but I suppose I can reason with myself that at least it’s a handy skill. After all, if I didn’t take decent notes of what happens in my own brain, I would probably have messier Hoddles.

The second is a bit different from the last, and was something I mentioned yesterday (for those reading, today for me as I write). Before I continue, I must issue a warning that it provides a spoiler from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (the second of the Chris Pratt-Bryce Dallas Howard led films), so just skip this if you don’t want to know. If you’ve seen it, you’ll recall Sir Benjamin Lockwood, the man who wants to relocate the dinosaurs, and that he had a granddaughter, Maisie. Relatively early on, I had a theory about Maisie that I can’t believe I had the bravery to whisper to my younger sister, because it sounded dumb at the time: Lockwood used some of those dinosaur studies to create that granddaughter. She thought it was wild, and it truly was, but I was right.

I continue to say it was predictable. Neither she nor my older sister agree. Feel free to share an opinion on the matter, if you want to, or your own random boasts.

tl;dr: I accidentally boasted about being good at taking notes, and purposefully boasted about quickly guessing one of the spoilers of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
