It’s been a pretty miserable week for Tottenham Hotspur, what with the whole losing Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko until April thing, along with the other injuries that Spurs have been carrying for most of the season. With Liverpool coming to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Spurs have no opportunity to do much about it, but will need to try and get a result with the players they have available.
Today, Spurs released their team news on Twitter, and it’s predictably grim — Kane, Sissoko, Hugo Lloris, and Ben Davies are still out, as is Tanguy Ndombele, though he and Davies are in “outdoor rehabilitation” which sounds good but probably isn’t as good as what we want it to be.
But if you want a glimmer of light in the dark, Danny Rose regained training this week, meaning it won’t be long before we have a legitimate left back we can call on to do left backy things on the pitch!

I don’t think there’s much chance that Rose will be starting against Liverpool on Saturday — that honor will probably go to Jan Vertonghen. But if Danny’s not fully in Mourinho’s doghouse already, it looks as though we’ll be able to see him back on the pitch before long, possibly on Tuesday in the FA Cup replay against Middlesbrough.
