Christian Eriksen Inter medical to take place tomorrow in Milan

I know we’re currently #AllInForBergwijn today, but it bears mentioning that we still haven’t confirmed the Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan transfer. However, according to Fabrizio Romano an important step is due to take place tomorrow — he’s reporting that Eriksen is due in Milan on Monday for a physical.

It sure seems likely that we’re going to flip Eriksen and convert him into a young talented Dutch winger, which is both weird and somehow kind of goes full circle, considering Eriksen started his career at Ajax. The current reporting is that Tottenham is set to receive €20m from Inter for Eriksen’s services, and while that doesn’t quite cover Steven Bergwijn’s reported transfer fee (which is said to be around €30m) it still seems like a pretty good deal, all things considered.

If the medical goes well tomorrow, and we have no reason to believe it won’t, it’s quite possible that there will be an official announcement of Eriksen’s full transfer either before the end of the day Monday or Tuesday morning.

Get your goodbyes ready — Eriksen may have soured a lot of Spurs fans on him the past six months but there’s no denying how absolutely massive he was for Spurs since his signing. I, for one, will miss him and wish him well.
