The normally quiet January window has been anything but for Tottenham Hotspur in the last couple of days, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven today confirmed the sale of attacker Steven Bergwijn. The fee is reportedly €31m (£26.3m) though we don’t know how the payment structure breaks down yet.
✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of @StevenBergwijn from PSV Eindhoven.

Steven has signed a contract with the Club that will run until 2025.#WelkomBergwijn ⚪️ #COYS
The 22-year-old Dutch International has six goals and 13 assists in 2,351 minutes this season across all competitions. He brings to Spurs blistering pace and great dribbling ability, both of which are much needed to bolster the attack, especially on the right flank. Bergwijn can play any of the four main spots in the attacking band, making him invaluable as a utility attacker.
Bergwijn leaves PSV having made nine appearances for the Netherlands in his young career and a move like this can help cement his place for his country.
This deal is extremely Sonny-esque in that it came out of nowhere and got finished in under 72 hours. Tottenham may not be done with their business just yet but, for now, let’s enjoy this move.
Welcome to Tottenham Hotspur, Steven Bergwijn!
