We have nine minutes to go in the transfer window and sh*t’s getting weird, y’all. Here’s the latest from Jason Burt in the Telegraph: apparently Tottenham had another loan offer turned down for yet another striker — this time for the scoring leader in the Chinese Super League, Eran Zahavi.

Who? Yeah, me too. I can’t tell you anything about him other than that he’s 32, Israeli, and plays for Guangzhou R&F, which is also the Chinese Super League team where Mousa Dembele plays. So he’s besties with Moose, that’s gotta be a plus.

Zahavi has a ridiculous scoring record in China, netting 29 goals in 28 matches. Most of them are from the run of play. It’s unreal and I have no idea whether it translates to the Premier League at all, but it’s also a moot point since Spurs wanted a short term loan and Guangzhou said NOPE.

So still no striker, and the clock is ticking.
