More great news from the international break that isn’t at all predictable, nope! Sky Sports is one of several outlets now reporting that Tottenham Hotspur and England center back Eric Dier is set to miss today’s Nations League match between the Three Lions and Denmark due to an injury.
Eric Dier will miss England's Nations League match against Denmark tonight through injury.

The good news, if there can really be good news when you’re talking about a player being out of action, is that Dier’s injury is described as a “slight hamstring complaint.” That doesn’t sound that bad, but it does seem like it’s a harbinger of potential problems to come and also almost certainly a direct consequence of the insane match schedule players like Eric Dier, Harry Kane, and others have had over the past few weeks. Dier is one of several Spurs players, including Kane, Sergio Reguilon, and Matt Doherty, who have had either knocks or minor issues during this three-match international break. It’s not like anyone didn’t see minor muscle injuries coming out of a squad that played seven matches in just 18 days.
Dier hasn’t traveled with the England squad to Wembley, which means he’s probably just returned home for a little extra R&R before rejoining his Tottenham teammates for training at the end of the week. Hopefully this doesn’t extend into preparations for Sunday’s London derby against West Ham.
