Another young Tottenham Hotspur player is heading out on loan for the season. 19-year old Tottenham academy graduate and goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi will spend the first half of the season on loan at Maidenhead United. The move was announced by the club’s social media channels.
Goalkeeper Josh Oluwayemi has joined National League side @MUFCYorkRoad on loan until January.

The young goalkeeper buzz for years now has been about Brandon Austin and Alfie Whiteman, but Oluwayemi has generated some buzz of his own and he’s considered one of the best keepers in the academy. Maidenhead is a semi-professional club that’s playing in the fifth tier National League. Wikipedia tells me that they’ve played at their York Road ground since 1871, making it the oldest football ground in continuous use in English football. That’s neat. It’s not an EFL club, but you gotta start somewhere.
Oluwayemi is in a crowded U23 field, with Jonathan De Bie and Kacper Kurylowicz also competing for minutes next season, so this should be a good loan and first team experience for Oluwayemi. He’s a promising young player who has clearly earned this loan. Good luck!
