The December fixture list has been released for Tottenham Hotspur. We all know it’s going to be a congested mess, but at least Spurs will find themselves in later matches over the course of the month.

The good news for our Stateside readers is that there are no 7AM Eastern matches the entire month. Those mornings are awful and waking up ten minutes prior to kickoff to do coverage isn’t fun! As bad as it is for the east coast, our friends out west have it worse and probably rely on DVR for those matches.
Spurs have Chelsea on Sunday and LASK next Thursday prior to starting the busy December. Sandwiched in between the Arsenal and Crystal Palace matches is the last Europa League group stage match with Royal Antwerp. The hope is that it’s a dead rubber match with Spurs clinching a spot in the knockout round, especially with a trip to Anfield just three days later.
I know we’re all hesitant to say that Spurs are title contenders because we’re nine matches into the domestic season, but this stretch of matches is going to determine where Jose Mourinho’s men truly stand. Arguably, the Chelsea match this Sunday might be the toughest challenge with Liverpool right after. One thing is for certain, though: After the Fulham match, we’re going to know exactly where Spurs stand when it comes to the race for the title.
