Kit Leak Season is coming awfully early this year. Days after the first kit leak revealed Tottenham Hotspur are expected to wear a “wild berry” third kit next season, kit leaker website extraordinaire Footy Headlines has now dropped new details about Tottenham’s away kits for next season... and it’s going to be primarily black.

Spurs doesn’t have a long history with primarily black kits, but there have been a few, ignoring the grey/black “halvsies” kit from 2012-13. Most recently were UnderArmor’s 2014-15 so-called “skidmark” away kits, which were more or less universally derided. Before that were the 2011-12 third kits made by Puma in Spurs’ first Champions League campaign, and the 2008-2009 thirds with the gold trim and the Mansion logo.
Truthfully, something like those last two could be pretty cool. Footy Headlines describes the colors as “black, black, and venom green” in both the kit and the shorts, which to me implies an almost entirely black kit with maybe some minor green trim. That could look really sharp on the pitch, especially with a venom green AIA logo.
Of course, the devil is in the details and we won’t see those for a while. But overall, what do you think of the color scheme? Gotta say, I’m already getting excited, which probably means I’m going to be hugely disappointed when these come back ugly as sin.
