Tottenham Hotspur have received the favorable draw in the Carabao Cup.
With both Manchester clubs still in the competition, Spurs got the big straw and drew Championship side Brentford at home in the semi-finals of the competition.

Avoiding the Manchester clubs until a possible final is never a bad thing, but Brentford aren’t going to be pushovers. The Championship side are currently fourth on the table and have scored the third most goals at 31, only behind Bournemouth and Blackburn Rovers. 24-year-old Ivan Toney is doing the heavy lifting, bagging 16 goals already while chipping in three assists. Stopping him will be key for Spurs if they’re to get to Wembley in April.
Spurs are on a quest for silverware and this is looking to be their best chance so far. While they’re still every competition, getting this far means it’s within reach. Ending the drought is on everyone’s mind, of course.
The matches will be played on January 5 and 6 respectively while the actual times will be determined for TV coverage.
