Tottenham Hotspur Women haven’t played football for a couple of weeks after their match against Chelsea last weekend was postponed due to a COVID outbreak amongst the Blues players and staff. Even so, Spurs have done well enough in December for new manager Rehanne Skinner to earn a nomination for the December FA Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award. Congrats, Gaffer!

Spurs won back to back matches over FAWSL opposition for the first time since September 2019 after their 3-1 win over Aston Villa a week ago Sunday. Skinner has presided over only two matches thus far and has won both of them, Spurs’ only two league wins of the year. She’s up against a veritable who’s-who of WSL managers for the award — Chelsea’s Emma Hayes, United’s Casey Stoney, and City’s Gareth Taylor, all managers way ahead of Spurs in the table.
The award is partially determinant by fan vote, and you can do so here. Spurs Women’s next match is January 10 when they host Birmingham at The Hive.
